Established in August 2023 by Raksha and Hardik Bamb, the Pune-based studio has rapidly emerged as a promising name in the interior design landscape. Raksha Bamb’s journey into design began with a strong academic foundation. She completed her schooling at Chintamani Foundation School, Parli Vaijnath, pursued graduation in Aurangabad, and later specialized in Interior Design from JRVGTI, Pune. Adding another dimension to her creative skill set, she also completed a Fashion Design course from INIFD, Pune, which helped shape her eye for detailing, color, and composition. Her upbringing in a joint family and exposure to the construction materials business gave her early insight into spaces, structure, and functionality.
The idea of RAAH was born during the unexpected pause of the COVID-19 lockdown. What started as a small creative experiment—painting reused paint buckets and turning them into planters—sparked Raksha’s renewed connection with design. Encouraged by this experience, she joined a design firm in Pune, gaining hands-on exposure to conceptual planning and on-site execution. Soon after, she and her husband Hardik took the leap to establish their own studio, laying the foundation for RAAH Interior Design.
The name RAAH holds deep meaning—it is derived from Ra (Raksha) and Ah (Hardik spelled backwards), while also symbolizing the Hindi word Raah, meaning “path.” True to its name, the studio represents a journey toward creating thoughtful spaces that reflect the client’s lifestyle and personality. Every project undertaken by RAAH is treated as a unique story, shaped through design, dialogue, and deep understanding.
RAAH’s design philosophy revolves around balance—between form and function, creativity and practicality. The studio specializes in residential and commercial interiors, turnkey solutions, design consultancy, 3D visualization, custom furniture, renovations, and material coordination. Their approach emphasizes intelligent space planning, efficient use of materials, and timeless aesthetics, ensuring that each space remains relevant and livable for years to come.
A defining strength of RAAH lies in the complementary partnership between its founders. Raksha leads the creative direction, conceptual planning, and design execution, while Hardik oversees project management, procurement, budgeting, and on-site coordination. Despite being a young firm, RAAH has achieved notable recognition within a short span. The studio received multiple honors at the Begin Up India Design Awards, Bangalore ( www.designawardsindia.com ), including Innovative & Trusted Interior Design Firm of the Year, Most Promising & Futuristic Interior Design Firm of the Year, and the Golden Door Award for Excellent Consultancy in Interior Design. Their work has also been featured in prominent design publications such as Home Publication and Archin Magazine, affirming their growing influence in the industry.
One of RAAH’s most defining projects, The Quill House, exemplifies their design philosophy. Located in Gangadham, Pune, this compact 960 sq. ft. home was transformed from a 2BHK into a smartly planned 3BHK. With clever storage solutions, multifunctional spaces, and thoughtful detailing, the home reflects how limitations can inspire innovation. The project became a milestone for the studio, earning recognition and establishing their identity as designers who think beyond convention.
Like any entrepreneurial journey, RAAH’s path was not without challenges. From earning client trust to managing budgets, timelines, and expectations, Raksha and Hardik faced numerous hurdles. However, their unwavering commitment to ethics, transparency, and quality helped them overcome obstacles. Each challenge strengthened their process, refined their approach, and reinforced their belief in standing firm on values.
Looking ahead, RAAH Interior Design Studio envisions expanding into luxury residences, boutique commercial projects, and sustainable design solutions.
